Shadow

Shadow is the boss of the Mall map. He patrols the Mega Mall parking / central area with a heavy Renegade escort, wearing a SWAT Vest and carrying an R4 assault rifle.

Minions

• Numerous Renegades spread around the parking structure. Plan to face 5–8 hostile humans in total.
• Sightlines are long and open — Renegades you don't clear will flank once shots ring out.

Strategy

• Shadow's SWAT Vest means body shots are wasteful. Aim for the head and bring a 2×/4× sight.
• Clear the Renegade guards first, using suppressed weapons to avoid alerting the rest. Walk the perimeter before engaging the center.
• The parking arena is a kill-box — do not stand in the middle. Use concrete pillars and parked vehicles as cover.
• A DMR or sniper from a rooftop entry is a reliable counter to the open space; 7.62×51 punishes the SWAT Vest.
• Expect to burn through multiple magazines. Carry at least 60 rounds of 5.56 / 7.62×39 or a sniper loadout.

Loot Priority

• Shadow DogTag — 180 $ per tag; second-highest boss tag value.
• SWAT Vest — rare chance drop; one of the best vests in the game.
• R4 rifle — solid 5.56 AR alternative to anything you're carrying.
• Renegade DogTags and Black Poker Chips from minions.

Tips

• Shadow is best attempted after Lv.10 when the T3 Weapon Trader and better sights are available.
• Bring a Medkit, Lesser Medkit backup, and at least two stamina drinks — the fight drags and you'll move a lot.
• The Mall's back entrances can let you flank the parking arena instead of walking in the front.
