Traders are the NPCs lined up in the Hideout who buy and sell gear. Most purchases use Money, but higher-tier items often require additional trade-in items or special currencies. Tier 2 and Tier 3 weapon traders are locked behind level gates.
You can also sell items directly from your backpack or locker without visiting a trader — physically walking up to them is only required for buying.

Key Trader

Sells keys and keycards used to open locked doors on raid maps. Prices mix Money with Poker Chips (Red and Black). The Key Trader also runs two side services:
- Poker Chip Exchange — trade Red and Black chips in either direction.
- Key Reroll — turn in two identical keys to receive one random different key. Outcome is completely random, so it's a gamble rather than a guaranteed upgrade.

Currency Types
- Money ($) — Primary currency used by every trader.
- Trade-in items — Ammo, electronics, clothing, figurines, and other loot are required for higher-tier purchases. Hang on to unusual pickups rather than selling them; many double as trader currency.
- Poker Chips (Red / Black) — Exclusive to the Key Trader. Convertible in either direction, but Red → Black costs an extra 180 $ per chip and Black → Red refunds less than the forward trade.
- Crypt Coin — Rare endgame currency required for Night Vision Goggles and potentially other high-tier items.
Tips
- Level up quickly — T2 (Lv.5) and T3 (Lv.10) massively expand your options for weapons, optics, and magazines.
- Save loot materials (batteries, tape, SSDs, figurines, etc.) instead of selling them; many are trade-in gates for attachments and boxes.
- The All Item Box at 4,000 $ + four rare materials is the highest-value box — budget for it rather than buying smaller boxes piecemeal.
- Use the Key Trader's reroll to gamble duplicate keys into something better, but accept the outcome is random.
- Poker chips matter even outside keys — you'll want a stockpile of both colors before going on a key shopping spree.
- Sell directly from your locker or backpack to save time when clearing space after a raid.
