Inventory System
Last updated: 2026/04/24
Overview
Deadline Escape's inventory uses a grid-slot system where each item occupies a different size (1x1, 1x2, 2x2, etc.). Efficient use of limited space is key.
Grid Slots
Items are placed on a grid. Each item has a set size, and you need to arrange them efficiently within your inventory.
Secure Container
Items inside your secure container are protected even if you die. Storing valuables, keys, and recovery items there reduces the risk of losing them on a failed raid.
Weight System
- Containers (backpacks, etc.) have weight limits
- When overweight, magazines will be dropped on the ground
- Money weighs only 0.0001 per unit, making it extremely light
Useful Features
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Loot All | Pick up all items from a container at once (keybind displayed) |
| Quick Move | Move an item to another container with one click (improved stack item support) |
Vest Special Feature
Vests (body armor) have special slots that can hold money and keys. This lets you carry currency and keys without taking up regular inventory space, allowing for more efficient item management.
Inventory Management Tips
- Prioritize placing the most valuable items in your secure container
- Use the vest's money/key slots to save regular inventory space
- Check your backpack's capacity and weight limit before a raid
- Use Quick Move to organize items quickly

Sort button is a must, plus please add a way for the traders and quest givers to automatically take stuff from the inventory instead of rummaging through to find some 1x1 small item to give them :/
Please add an auto sort button for the stash.
