Vests

Vests provide armor and an inner inventory grid that can store attachments, ammo, throwables, dog tags, money, keys, and medical items. Materials, food/drink, and weapons cannot be placed inside a vest.

Vests take durability damage when you are hit. Durability displays turn yellow at ≤20 and red at ≤10 — repair them with Armor Plates before they reach 0 and become unusable.

Armor Plates are trade-in materials — stockpile them before running a raid where you expect to be shot at.

Purchase Info

• Military Vest — 120 $ from the Consumables Trader (available from the start).
• Camo Vest — drops on maps / sold by T3-adjacent traders; verify availability.

Most mid-tier vests are obtained from human faction drops (Rebels and Renegades) or pulled from high-value loot containers.

Notes

• The "Camo" in Camo Vest is cosmetic — it does not reduce enemy visibility or detection.
• Vests do not have plate sockets. Armor plates function as repair materials, not slotted inserts.
• Upgrading from Military Vest to a mid-tier vest is one of the biggest early survivability jumps — save toward Assault Armor or Black Vest as soon as you clear early Zac tasks.
